5.0TA Landing Gear

Does anyone know the make and model of the jacks that are used as landing gear on the 5.0TA's? Wondering about maintenance requirements.

They're power tongue jacks, so a reasonable guess would be the same brand (and maybe same model) as is offered on other models as an optional power tongue jack... which would be Atwood, I believe.

Doug showed the head of the driver's side landing gear in a "Friday" construction photo, the last one of his June 24 post. It looks like an Atwood to me.

There should be... two copies of it, since there are two separate jacks.

Just checked our Escape binder. It's a Atwood MPD 87083 POWER JACK. Looking on Etrailer there are four models under that number. I assume that it is the heavy duty model.

"The Electric Drive Motor Landing Leg system is protected by a 30 amp
fuse. If replacement is necessary, replace only with a Buss Type AGC-30
fuse or equivalent, available in automotive supply stores"
Looks like a good item for spares.

I agree... especially since those glass cartridge fuses are no longer commonly used. It might also be a good idea to find out in advance where these fuses are located and how to get at them - while at home and under no pressure - and to confirm that this is actually the type of fuse used. It's in an external in-line holder, so it could easily have been relocated or replaced with another type during installation.
