5th wheel stabilizer
Hello all, I'm looking for input on to get, or not get the tripod stabilizer for the 5.0. Some say you may need it to minimize the movement from occupants. Thoughts, concerns, dirty limericks?
Thanks,
Dan.

We finally bought X-Chocks and they really make a difference minimizing movement. We had a tripod with our previous 5th wheel and it helped, but didn't eliminate movement. Don't waste your money on a tripod.
Enjoy,
Perry

Thanks guys, we will avoid it and see what it feels like next week. The kids get up early and tend to bounce around. Maybe the x-chocks.

The best use of the tripod is to keep your head from hitting the Andersen hitch adapter. Yes with "X" chocks and 4 stabilizers there should be no need for the tripod.

Seconding what has already been said, if the tandem wheels are x-chocked, the rig is super stable. I found some red rubber tubing to protect my head from bumps on the pin box bracket. Used electrical ties to secure it.
