A/C Fan Speed

Hello from fairly hot Paonia, CO this afternoon. We're running the a/c in our 2018 19'er. And the fan is NOISY.

Is there a way to have to fan come on at a lower/slower speed than level one hurricane which hopefully would be less noisy?

Thank you, in advance for your thoughts. (BTW... When I read this to my wife she said... "What? I can't hear you!" And our dog retreats to the far end of the trailer.)

There is a low/high fan setting, check your thermostat manual.

Thank you, CPA Harley. Apparently, the low setting is hurricane level one winds. It frightens me to think of what the high setting must be. I was just hoping there was something lower, like light gale.

Just think of it as a white noise generator that drowns out the rowdy campers and their generators ;-)

I pulled the interior cover down and added automotive sound deadener to the frame and plastic cover.
It helped some. At low speed the fan is much quieter. On high it's better but too loud for sleeping. (and I'm kind of deaf from 40+ years of helicopters and airplanes)

No, I’m quite serious. I consider myself lucky that I don’t need silence to sleep, and any kind of white noise is just fine. Rowdy neighbors or generators, on the other hand, get under my skin. There was even one occasion when I ran our AC in fan mode to drown out some intoxicated and inconsiderate types who completely disregarded our polite requests to respect quiet hours, and there was no CG enforcement to be had, and it was too late and we were too tired to move. The AC helped a lot.

We never travel without the white noise generator for the same reasons, especially useful in a WM parking lot. When running the AC I do not use the Auto setting as I want the constant drone, the on and off Auto mode keeps waking me up.

If I remember to do it, I'll pull the cover and add insulation, not that I need the AC very often.

I have on several occasions been glad I had the app Sound Sleeper on my phone from when my grands were little. Choice of quite a few sounds...rain, ocean, hairdryer, vacuum cleaner, fan, etc. It's free, but I think there's a time limit on play. For a few bucks you can upgrade to continuous play.

Is the A/C on the Escape 19 different than the A/C on the Escape 21 ?
We usually run the A/C on our Escape 21 on high so we can feel air movement .
If we set the A/C to low it’s hard to tell if it’s running and it doesn’t seem to cool very well

Don't know the year of yours, but the one on my 5.0TA should be the same if it's a 2014 +/-. Mine is plenty cold, and too breezy even on low. I shutdown the vents by at least 3/4 except for the side towards the loft.

WE often wished for a lower speed fan setting in our Casita 17'..the roof AC blasts out at huricane force even on "low" setting..and will strip paint on "high". I wondered if there was a lower low setting, but insulation might help..maybe. We will see on our new E-21 we just ordered. I may ?? the factory folks re this issue this week.
