AC Piece-What is it?

I was cleaning out the AC filter for an upcoming trip and I noticed (I'm a year late in noticing but no one can accuse me of being very sharp!! ) this rectangular aluminum part sitting loose on the cross-brace. No idea if it should be loose like that or not.

Thanks in advance for your opinions!

I haven't ventured a look in there, yet. But now you've got me curious.....

I had to go look ...

That looks like it might be a power distribution box or a control box of some sort ... mine is a plastic box but it is securely mounted in that area and not loose. Bill

Thanks for the responses. I didn't think it looked right to be loose and sitting there. I will have to see if I can figure out where it is supposed to be secured and how.

If anyone knows, I'd greatly appreciate your input!!

Based upon the picture there appears several holes that could line up and with a small screw attach. But without knowing what is inside and make sure power is off, perhaps a metal screw from inside the box or a bolt and nut into one of the holes on the strap or even a plastic tie can secure the box from movement.
