AC shutoff?

We have not really used AC in our 5.0 until this weekend. Sucks being at sea level. Anyhow, I’m not sure if we have a problem. When tstat reaches demand temp the compressor shuts down but fan does not. Is it supposed to?

Well that sucks. Whole thing shut down on my old Casita. Thought E19 did too but must be dreaming. Thanks Steve.

My Casita did not. It did not come with a thermostat but rather had the mod from a smart forum guy. It was set up with a relay that actually killed the power via an installed thermostat. That had to be the most popular mod on the whole forum. There must be some smart guy on this forum that could figure out how to kill the fan when compressor goes off and restart when it comes back on. Some kind of jumper or relay or?

I have an older style digital wall thermostat then you do but if I set mine to Auto, it will shut off when the wall thermostat reaches temp. If I leave it on Hi or Lo the fan runs continually.

I'm guessing at the terminology as I'm not in the trailer.

BINGO. Put it in auto and it works as you suggest above. I didn’t know auto mode existed. THANKS.

Many Casita owners modified there A/C and added a low voltage relay that was controlled by a Tstat which disconnected the 120 VAC power to the unit when the tstat cycled and shut down both the compressor and the fan
I never found the fan running continually to be an issue ,so I never made the modification
Running the fan continuously leads to more even temperatures and less stratification
