Add outside shower to Escape 21
I would like to add an outside shower to my Escape 21. What brand of outside shower does ETI use and is there a better alternative? Can you purchase the shower box separately, if so, from where? Words of wisdom appreciated.

Jeff,
You can order the shower valve assembly. I have a 2019 21ft and my factory one started to leak. Instead of sending washers for the valves ETI sent me a new assembly. On a side note, I live just 10 miles down the road from you. Great to see a second Escape in NKY!

I got one from Escape and installed it myself.

Jim how did you cut hole in trailer? Did you have a templet. I plan on putting shower on drive side close to water heater.

Good idea. I need the whole assembly as I do not have a shower now. We haven’t been out in camper yet all my plan trips have been canceled so far by camp ground.

Just completed addition of outside tap set for kitchen and shower use. No shower unit on Driver's side. Found with previous RV is wanting to have outside shower that the driver/s side put me in front of neighbouring unit. Will use a pop up shower stall at rear passenger side corne with hose on snap in connection of tap set.

I used the housing size to determine the cutout size and used an oscillating saw to cut it out.
After having one on my previous Escape trailer on the driver's side and never really using it, I opted to install this one on the passenger side. That has worked out fantastic for dishes and cooking, and can be used for a shower taking the shower head behind the trailer. .

If I were installing one, I'd plumb it from above. That way when winterizing, gravity would empty the supply lines when pressure is released and before adding antifreeze or blowing out the lines.

When winterizing you still need to connect a shower or faucet to it and blow it out or else it will freeze and crack the connection. Ask me how I know.

Chuck,
where did you get your outside shower tap set? What brand and model number? I plan on putting shower behind the two draw On driver side. Looks like your shower box will work

Yes, you would have to connect to drain, but less chance of liquid left in the lines if using compressed air and gravity, vs compressed air alone.

During blowing out process there would need to be quick connect flexi-spout inserted to allow for clearing hot/cold lines. Wouldn't this allow for water to be removed and not cause freezing?
Tap set at galley sink above would be part of same line needing to be blown out.
Comments appreciated after looking at my installed setup in pics above.

I see you also installed 2 cut off valves which is good in the event of leaks you can isolate the line, similar to the toilet shut off valve option.

FWIW, the outside shower assembly was cracked and not useful on our 2014 15A we purchased last year. I removed it then installed a Tern Overland cargo door where the shower valve box was located.
I'm in the process of installing the Bullfinch (white) over the wheel well area. The Bullfinch unit has a sealed water and dustproof cover. The handle assembly is removed (takes 2-seconds) when not in shower mode and stored in the trailer (we store it in the new outside accessible storage compartment.
https://bullfinch-gas.co.uk/outdoor-...int-132-detail
And now we can access the huge storage area from the outside all with a dust & waterproof and insulated locking access door: https://www.ternoverland.com/arctic-...go-access-door
I used PEX for the hot and cold shower lines. John Guest makes a 15mm to 1/2" CTS (5/8" OD) coupler which is needed to adapt the Bullfinch unit to PEX.
If you're somewhat handy, adding the Bullfinch single handle shower assembly to a non-outside shower equipped trailer isn't difficult.
