adhesive for inside trim

I have 2018 Escape 21, and some of the inside trim has come loose, or was never properly attached. for example: the bathroom door trim is loose. question: what is good adhesive to use?, or what does factory use? I'm in TX and very hot, so need something that will hold up to the summer heat. any comments welcomed, cheers

Only problem with silicone is that if it does not work for any reason then nothing else will in that location after using it. Except of course more silicone. I would get some good contact cement.

In addition to the above concern about using sealants or adhesives with silicone in them, the silicone mentioned above may not stick to your plastic. Also, the trim would need to be held in place until the glue cures.

I would use contact cement and only place the cement on the wide part of the trim, not the 2 sides. Once the trim is touched down with contact cement, it will stay put. Don't cement the sides of the trim or they may stick before you have the trim in place.

You don't need to spread contact cement on the whole length of trim. It can be done in spots if you want.
