Back in the day on the open wheel race cars that plied the dirt tracks of the upper Midwest, all of the Chrome was in the crowd side. Exhaust, steering gear, weight rack etc. the other side was steel and beat up at that. Of course one of my favorite cars had the number B4U. Who remembers the great USAC driver from Wisconsin “Dick Trickle? Also Gus Schrader from Iowa and The Minnesota Golden Gopher Jerry Richert? And my all time favorite driver Mr. Jerry Blundy, Galesburg Illinois? Those guys made todays NASCAR racing look like a baby buggy race.
