Anderson Remote Cable Mount

As a person who try's to find ways to add, mount or not permanently modify things. I would like to know has anyone mounted the Anderson Remote Cable using existing pin box holes.

I would like to either mount it on the front of pin box using 1/2" holes or unused pin box mounting hole. Seems doable to me my only concern on unused pin box mounting hole. There would not be enough clearance between a top hole and bottom of loft.

Handle is 2.5" wide so you would need at least 1.25" of space to turn, push/pull and lock.

You want the handle aiming towards the side so you can use it easier. I just let Denis install mine and am fine with where he put it.

Jim, thanks for the feedback. As I have the GMC Canyon my hitch will be connected same as Gary's, with the king pin adapter ball mount behind the king pin. Cable enters adapter on the passenger side with cable looping around to the driver side.

I'm pretty sure the handle could be mounted using the 5/8" holes of the pin box mount as the threaded portion has an OD of 5/8” and the lock washer ID is 5/8" so should fit a 5/8” hole perfectly.

Mounting it this way would put the handle on driver side and the handle tucked up under the loft and less visible.

Cheers!

Mine is mounted on the trailer frame near the front corner under the overhang...it is nice to be able to reach it without climbing into the truck bed.

Hi Kent,
should fit but she will be tight. 1-3/8" horizontal, 1-1/4" vertical.
Good luck.
Tin.
