Any chance I can fix crooked Dometic Electric Awning?

Our new to us 5.0 came with a badly crooked awning. We were told a huge amount of water had pooled to one side overnight and when dumped the awning was very crooked to one side. One has to lift one side to get it to seat properly when retracting. I cannot see where anything is bent or where something is out of position. Unfortunately there does not seem to be any google or youtubes showing how to do this for my type of awning.

Any ideas on how to get this realigned?

Maybe of no help if your awning is actually bent or damaged, but FYI there's multiple documents about adjusting the electric awning available for download in the files>manuals section of this forum. Note the list of files is ordered by date not subject or title, so scroll-down to find all relating to the awning and note these files may be outdated for your awning.

Other resources ....

Links to current (Dometic website as of this date) Dometic 9500 Installation Manual and Operating Manual (see BOTH, they each have sections covering different adjustments).

Escape Awning Adjustment Video - note may be outdated for your model:

Hope that helps, Good Luck!
