anyone going to ETI then to Quartzsite 2018?
Hi all
Ross made a good suggestion....
the one thing I left off the build sheet (foolishly) was the access door, to under the bed, just outside the bathroom, on a 21'.... it would be a *perfect* place to tuck shoes
(we keep recycling in a bag just inside the stock under-bed door)
any chance anyone here is going to be at ETI, and could pick up an access door (that we would have paid for already) and has plans to be at Quartzsite 2018?
I'd get it from you there, and would reward with preferred beverage(s) of your choice, plus many many thanks.
I know I could do a 3rd party solution, but i'd like it to match as close as possible.
I know I could have them mail it to me, but postage is tons of money.... customs... brokers, plus possible damage.
just a long shot.... shoot me a private message here if this would be easy for you.
John

John,
You should check with ETI on postage. I've had them ship me several items on warranty and they send them down with the driver to Sumas when they deliver a trailer and it's US UPS ground fees. Not expensive at all and no special charges.
If you find out that will work for you I'll have a Blue Moon Belgian at Q.

Yeah, everything they've shipped to me has been done from Sumas. I think their calendars went out from there as well. Lots of folks that live near the border do that. Or pick up packages in the States and bring them over.

But your original request also creates an opportunity to meet a fellow owner. that is potentially priceless.
edit: and bond over a cabinet door. HaHa

I have ordered many items from Escape . One being another door to match doors for a modification I did . The Door arrived in excellent condition. I called them and thanked them for who ever wrapped up the door . Getting packages all the time never have seen the care taken to wrap this package . I would not be afraid of damage with the care they take . Pat

I emailed Parts at ETI - and Tammy herself got right back to me...
"The cost for the cabinet door will be $65.cdn. plus $20 shipping. Would you like all of the hardware mounted and ready for install?"
I'll do this.... and i'll have it installed soon! Excited! :-)

I think I would rather use the cost savings as an excuse to drive to Osoyoos for the rally, I really enjoy that place.

Excellent John. Think you need to bring a 6 of Belgians and we’ll celebrate the new door at Quartzsite.

Shipping is $20 CAD....
and
It is over 1,200 miles from LA to Osoyoos.
If we roughly average 12 MPG - then that is ..... 100 gallons of gas? one way.
so 200 gallons of gas, at $3 a gallon is..... $600 USD. plus food, propane, etc.
Not sure how $20 shipping relates to that.
