We keep ours stuck to wall with other remotes next to door, using 3M Command hook and loop strips, so it can be easily removed or stuck back up, no screws or holes required, and location can be easily changed with replacement command strips.

Does your controller have an accessible battery? Might not be sending out a signal or even a
Strong enough signal. Do you have a manual on this option? Might want to review that too.
Ours has three buttons. I am only allowed to use the on and off switch, just like the max fan.

Have you tried changing the batteries? There is no alternative, hard-wired switch to activate the lights. Hopefully just need a new battery, not a new remote. Or receiver.

Does your controller have a dimmer which could be all the way down to the dim side?

Geez, Ours is an older one does not have that many buttons. Will the lights come on in the daytime, or is it like a night light that won't turn on in the light??

those style remotes usually use a CR2032 quarter sized battery.

btw, speaking of cr2032, there's also a cr2024 and cr2018 that are the same diameter but thinner, with less capacity. i've been able to jam a cr2032 into most devices that came with cr2024, and even some devices with the even thinner cr2018. once you do this, plan on sticking with cr2032 in the future as you likely stretched the battery slot. I did this because I keep a supply of cr2032 on hand, as I have a bunch of amber and red LED 'candles' that use them. by buying the batteries bulk from an electronics supplier (digikey.com), I get prime quality batteries far cheaper than the local retail prices.

IKEA also sells the 2032 . Have been using for years and find no problem with them . You get a card of 8 about 1.99 -2.99 sorry can’t remember . Pat

Our awning LED light won’t shut off or respond to dim or bright arrows. Stuck on dim. There is a small blue indicator light that blinks when any of the buttons. Nothing helpful in the instruction card. Anyone else have similar issues and what was your resolve? Thanks.

Is there a battery in the remote? Have you checked or changed it?. That’s where I would start.
