Awning window arm

I have a 5.0 and today I noticed one of the two arms on an awning window is out of it's track. I first looked inside to see if I could disassemble the handle/gear/arms but it's riveted in place. Do I take out one of the two screws on the outside the keeps the window from moving side to side in the track it hinges on and side the window enough to reinstall the arm? Open to suggestions.

Yes, this.

It's also an opportunity to trim the length of the 'spacer strip' in that operator track to allow the windows to open a bit wider (there's a thread on that mod here somewhere).

Have Fun!

Thanks Alan,

I remember reading about it too. Then there's something that is stuck in memory about Lippert changed the design so you can't do it anymore. I guess I'll find out tomorrow. Here's a video on it.

Yes the arm design has changed, no longer a spacer that can be adjusted.
