We have a 2016 21 ft. Want to switch from original flooded lead acid battery to an AGM. Will I need to make any modifications to standard shore power charging unit supplied by Escape?

AGM's should be fine. There may be a setting to change in the charge controller, so check your manual. Several Escape owners run AGM's.

As DT6 says, You have to set the Charge Controller to AGM. If you have solar. Easy to do. I know manuals are for sissies but check it on this one.

WFCO Ultra III distribution center. With converter
With absorption mode output of 13.6 V
an absorption mode of14.4 V
A float mode of 13.2 V
Will this be compatible with change to AGM deep cycle battery?
