Best antivirus protection for Mac devices

It is time to renew and I'm trying to determine the best route...

I've been using Clam AV for several years although to tell the truth I only run it maybe once a year when I think about it. I never seem to get any viruses or bots or whatever there is now.

I'm a fan of Bitdefender. Get a family pack and put it on your phone/s as well

I currently use Malwarebytes as well. I'm annoyed that they won't provide upgrades for older versions of OS X, but you can't have everything and my MacBook Pro running OS X 10.10 was getting long in the tooth. I recently bought a MacBook Air with MacOS 11.5 and Malwarebytes works fine on it.

I had an issues a few years back and the Apple helpdesk recommended Malwarebytes. I haven't had a problem since. It's free.
