Has anyone gotten to the black tank probes on a 19? I am sure they have to be inside a wooden box under the front dinette, driver side. Unfortunately, it looks like I would need to disconnect the large vent pipe, mess up the spray foam around it, remove a minimum 8 screws and possibly a seat support to remove the box just to expose the back side of the probes. Seems like there should be an easier way to verify that they are installed properly. If that is indeed the only way to get to them, guess I will just rely on the old look down the hole method.

TankTechsRX.com

Go to the TankTechs RX site and read the Q & A about probes. Also watch the you tube videos about struvites.

Ours are on the other side of the wood panel at the end of the underseat storage. Even if you have the spray foam insulation, that's outside so I can't imagine you'd have any of that in the way. There are also no vent pipes in the way, at least on ours. Having said that, no way I'd cut a hole in that panel unless I absolutely had to. Are your probes working ok? If so, I'd leave it alone.

How about taking pictures inside the tank with smart phone on a selfie stick?

Our 19’ is the second gen. Our black tank probes have been acting up and they are Horst probes. I suspect they too could be upside down. I do have the underside spray foam option, but the foam insulation I referred to is just sprayed around the vent pipe where it enters the top of the fabricated food box, I assume to provide a good seal and help ensure no odor escapes. Guess I will just try spraying out the tank, as I have not yet done the wand thing and look down the hole.

I see the probe wires coming out of my wood box, so I am sure the box was built around the probes. I was just wondering if anyone had pinpointed exactly where they are and developed a clever, somewhat easy way to get to them so I could see if they were installed correctly. If no one has, I don’t think I will be the pioneer.

Thanks for the follow up. Any chance of a photo?

Thanks for the photos. Unfortunately my 2015 looks nothing like that, so I'm not sure how you'd proceed. If you need to access the probes, I would ask Escape directly.
