Brake Controller

Looks like my brake controller of many years is on its last leg. I was wondering what brake controller Escape owners are currently are happy with. We are towing a 2017 19 with a V8 Dodge Durango. Any info would be deeply appreciated. Thanks and Happy Camping.

I've used Tekonsha Voyagers for years without any issues... I'd get a P3 if I was buying a new one, the Voyager is an older 'analog' proportional, the P3 is a smart digital one.

I had a Tekonsha P2 that developed an attitude; replaced with a P3 (plugs into the old harness, but the mounting bracket is a tad different.)

I like it much more than I did the P2, which lasted 6 years and was used on 3 trailers. Seems more responsive when tweaked.

I had an 11year old p2 previously, and had trademasters in chilliwack install a p3 in my new tv the day before I picked up my escape in May. I’m very happy with it.

P-3

Hi Ralph
I had a P3 controller installed on the Highlander. My son in law Todd with the 74 Boler has a
P-3 on his Pathfinder. We like them. See you in September as the old song goes. Go Bucks

I went with a Prodigy wireless controller for my Escape 19 and Highlander combo and it works great. I had a P3 from my previous tow vehicle but wiring for it in the Toyota and less than ideal mounting locations led me to invest in the wireless.
