Brake Light Wiring Color Code?

Our 2013 19' seems to have developed an intermittent connection in the lower curbside brake/turn signal light. The (optional) upper one works fine, as do the driver side lights. I think the ground is probably okay since the tail light works fine, so I want to identify the brake light wire.

I suspect one of those quicky line splice connectors is at fault. Before I crawl back into that rather confined space beneath the bed, does anyone know the color code for the wiring? I see three wires: red, brownish purple, and white.

Red is brake, brown is tail, white is ground.

Thank you! I assumed white was probably ground, but I would have been guessing between the other two. I suspect I should add a new tail light unit to my kit of spares. It was working very dimly. Now it's working fine. Intermittent electricals can be such a pain.

Viajante is correct given the lights that Escape uses.

All I will add is that when doing anything with the lighting it is always best to test the functions before hooking up. When one studies the standard RV 7-pin connectors and then realizes that some colors change leaving the trailer junction box (sometimes following the traditional wire coding; sometimes not) confusion easily ensues. When you compare the attached to your colors at a right (curbside) tail light you'll see what I mean.

Point well taken. What a mish-mash.
