Camp Chef Ranger II quick connect connection?

Hello all - I have looked through the archives for the specific connections needed to make the Ranger II work when removing the stove's regulator (and hose) and swapping it out with something that works with the Escape external propane quick connect hose. I have not had any luck figuring it out. So if anyone has done it recently and can recall what they bought, that would be much appreciated. Take care. Gary

I bought female to female 90° flared fitting to turn the hose connection straight back and installed a male low pressure fitting to that.

The Camp Chef Ranger II takes low-pressure propane directly into the fitting on the side of the stove, after removing the stock hose (which has a regulator on the end) and screwing on a hose with a common 3/8" female flare fitting.

Camp Chef even sells a suitable hose, although it is not necessary to use that one:

This is a thread in this forum about this stove:

The attached image, from the Camp Chef web page, shows how the hose attaches to the Ranger II (shown upside down).

Jim, what you posted in that old Ranger II thread (post #59) listed a female-to-male 90° flared fitting, which would fit a hose with a female end fitting, which makes more sense.

Just because I never posted about the last three Ranger II's I fitted with LP connection does not mean you need to search out to find fault in what I say. I do have some remembering skills. Fading a bit with age, but still working quite well, thanks.

There are lots of options, the later ones I just dealt with stuff from a local supplier.

I'm not looking to find fault, just to help the member who asked what to use... what Jim listed in the earlier discussion and what he described in this one would both work.
