Camping World Crap

So we bought the 3 piece carpet set others have mentioned- in peppercorn, and after 1 wash the border split off. Called them today and they instantly refunded without returning it FYI. Have looked at other carpet runners and there is a big difference in build quality.

Also, we bought the outside mat that we've seen in other photos, and same thing. Forgot to mention that, so have to call them back.

We also bought a bike cover from etrailer.com and the see-through plastic on the wheels split. It is a known problem and etrailer would let me return it, but had to do so on my dime. They did provide number for mfg., and they were very apologetic-knew it was a design problem and said they would send out the new one with no return necessary of the old. Just had to send a picture of the split.

We used RVAwningMats.com: The largest and oldest distributor of RV mats, patio mats, RV Awning Mats and the new Fireside Patio Mat! Welcome! - RVAwningMats.com, 7 or 8 years and it's still in decent shape.

We have a Dometic Patty O'Mat in Coffee Brown, that measures 7' x 12', a perfect fit for under our awning. It is built to be very durable. We have had ours for 6 years, and one I had before that my brother still uses, and it has to be way over 10 years old.

We did the rug trip but found that they are always dirty or wet and dirty . So where back to the bare lino . Way cleaner and less work .Wet and dirty shoes are left outside on a mud mat . I give it a shake and throw it in the back of the truck . . And we use slippers inside. But the dog... that's another story. The joy of a wet dog with muddy paws...

Hummm, I haven't had any problem with my CW Peppercorn 3 piece set. But then again, no pets and I'm a single traveler. Hope I just got lucky, I like the set a lot.

We liked it too, until the first wash. I could tell the way the backing looked they weren't going to last. Then I found the tear on the one least used- the one placed under the dinette. It's crap!!

I don't think we've ever washed our runners.

I'm not sure they are made to be machine washed, but for the price, a new set every other year makes the inside look new again. I just hose mine off outside, let dry and reinstall. The agitator is what beats them up.

I am always willing to spend more money for something that lasts a long time, rather than spend less and have it go to the landfill. I think it was the way I was raised, but it really irks me all the disposable stuff we are offered as consumers. You all might have guessed this from my disdain of paper plates, and plastic cups and cutlery.

Lisa bought a couple rugs for inside years ago, that have been washed a few times, and are still in great form. I had given her a couple size parameters, and she found some almost perfect. One fits nice from the door along the dinette, the other in the aisle along the kitchen cabinets. We don't always use them, but most of the time we do, especially when wet outside, as we never take our footwear off when we come in unless muddy for some reason. (or when going to bed )

The Decorian 3-Piece RV Rug Set from Camping World is manufactured by Prest-o-fit Inc. If you care. So while some may be considered Camping World Crap, you can purchase Prest-o-fit Inc rugs from many different RV parts supply houses.., including Amazon and eBay. So, I wouldn't slam CW. YMMV

One of the reviews on CW for the rug says: Doesn't slide, hides dirt, easy to clean - just rinse off w/water.

Like Jim, I've never washed mine. Although at the Oregon Gathering the longest rug did soak up an entire dark beer, so outside it went, got hosed off, dried and reinstalled. No problemo.

In reality, is anything made today with the quality things were made years ago?

For several years, I have used the 2' x 6' runners sold at Costco for $9.99. They are washable. They last a few years, but eventually the latex back starts to crumble. Probably from drying them in the dryer. They are not sold on line (at least not at the time of this post).
For my 17B, they work well. I usually get the darker ones to hide what the kids and dog track inside.

I think that you've got a whole forum of Escape owners that feel that ETI builds a product that meets os surpasses our expectations! So yes, quality still means something.

What do you mean "no problemo", an entire dark beer was lost

I have difficulty calling CW merchandise "crap" especially when they have such a good refund policy.
