Changing RV lock batteries?

All I found on their site besides a long video was that there would be a signal (there was) and that would give me plenty of time to change batteries (It did not, the lock no longer locked after the first beep of the signal.)

How do I change them? I don't see anything obvious.

Never mind, found it, google is your friend. I wonder if I can use lithium batteries as that's what I have with me.

I found a little more useful info. If you have a keyless fob (I do) you can switch off the lock or it spends all its energy alert to a signal from the fob. I never use the fob so turning it off is a good idea. Second, if you live where it gets cold, you should remove the batteries when you dewinterize. Third, lithium should last much longer and have been used successfully. Still odd that I got no warning before I could not lock the trailer. (Maybe you can still unlock after that; I have the key, I may check.)

I turned off the radio receiver too, as I also don't use the key fob.

I would be interested in knowing if it disables locking before disabling locking.

Well, tried it when leaving today and it did lock this time. Yesterday it wouldn't. Locked and unlocked today and made its obnoxious warning sound. Still have to get the new batteries in.
