Cleaning Fridge

Anyone have any suggestions for cleaning the black marks left by aluminum cans against the plastic fridge interior.
This is after scrubbing with household cleaner.

Vim.
Contains a mild abrasive.

Barkeeper's Friend will also take marks off. I use it to remove utensil marks on Corningware and just about everything on pots and pans and have even used it to remove stains from clothing.

FWIW, I keep paper towels on the shelves, bottom and back, wherever there are aluminum cans, to keep that problem reduced. I have heard some people wrap their cans in old socks.

We use a basic cleaner & a plastic scouring pad.

Bottled beer is the best solution to avoid those stains!

It could be from the Coke for mixing in the dark rum! Otherwise yeah, keep the beer in bottles.

Bottles are too heavy. Need to keep the weight down.

No way, taste is WAY more important when it comes to beer. Besides, none of the good stuff comes in cans anyway.

Kind of lost focus here. Clean the fridge or drink beer, seems like a no brainer.

If I remember correctly I used one of those magic erasers...They clean a lot of stuff up really well.

So I went and got some Vim and after a lot of scrubbing with a light scouring pad and VIM it is now about 90% cleaner.Thanks for the suggestions.

last trip out I noticed it is quite a lot cooler in the fridge just under the freezer so the light bulbs went off and I laid a can on it's side just under the freezer in front of the metal fins,thinking I would have a nice cold one when I got there.But, live and learn I guess,all the bouncing around on the gravel road made that can bounce around in the fridge and the metal fins under the freezer eventually pocked a few holes in my can,spraying it all over and it ran to the bottom of the fridge and leaked out onto the floor .So won't do that again.

Let's see. Red Racer IPA, which won the top award in Canada for pale ale, comes in cans. Okanagan Spring Pale Ale ( my milk ) comes in cans. And, others.

Perhaps aluminum cans haven't reached Alberta?

I don't think Red Racer isn't a pale ale, is it not dark? It is good, I like it, though a bit heavy on the hops. As long as canned beer is poured into a glass, it does taste a bit better. Still, MOST top beers are only (or mostly) available in bottles.

I have tried a good bunch of the top three winners in many of these categories. LOTS of great beer brewed these days.

I digress, back to the OP's topic. Glad to hear you got your fridge cleaned fairly good. Glad too you won't be trying your beer wasting trick again either.

It wasn't that long ago that people held their nose at screw cap and composite cork wine bottles. And then it was proved the wine fared better than with natural corks - less spoilage.
Cans are light, easier to transport ( saving fuel ), keep the light off the beer, chill quickly.
So being green , I choose cans.
