Cleaning the Escape

Folks,

We have a 17 B that we picked up this past spring is now being winterized after being used for 90+ days this summer.

What do you folks recommend for cleaning:

* the blinds

* the vinyl interior

* the upholstery

regards,

Don

Re: Cleaning the Escape

Good call Jeff.

We have not done much for a thorough cleaning inside, in the 3 years we have had ours. The floor seems to be the only thing requiring constant cleaning. We d plan to do the windows inside for the first time this fall.

We have wiped the vinyl down with a bit of soapy water and rinsed when spot cleaning.

I would imagine dusting the blinds first, then just a mild soapy water to clean.

Maybe pull the cushions out and have them cleaned when you do the upholstery or carpets in your home.

I wash the trailer after every trip outside. the inside gets the washroom wiped down and cleaned. I sweep the floor and wash it. We wash our towels and sheets.

Re: Cleaning the Escape

I am a bad trailer dad, mine has only been washed maybe 3 times in 3 years. I like it to look like we use it. We've only washed the floor of the bathroom and not the walls, but mostly 'cause we have only used the shower once. One thing that keeps it relatively clean inside the fact that other than sleeping we might spend about 30 minutes a day tops inside.

Re: Cleaning the Escape

I *imagine* the inside walls could be cleaned with any multi-surface cleaner...not that we've ever done ours.

IF I were ever to clean the window shades, I'd use a shop vac with a brush attachment.

We have washed the floor, and its quick work with spray cleaner and a sponge.

For the bathroom, I just use the shower attachment, rinse everything into the gray tank, and towel dry the interior.

Its a pretty dirt-proof interior. The hardest spots to remove are the age spots on my hands.

Re: Cleaning the Escape

A small squeegee works well in the shower, instead of towels. Nothing to dry.

hello guys sorry for this old thread reply but I am looking for natural and time saving upholstery and carpet cleaning methods. Please share products and your cleaning experiences. I don't love cleaning but my house furniture looks too dirty. Thanks in advance.

We have taken the cushions to a carpet/upholstery place where they cleaned them.
