Coleman mach 10 air conditioner is toast.
We picked up our 5.0 last September and come this summer it finally got warm enough to use the air conditioner, and all it would do is blow air.
So I took it out to our local RV repair guy and he said it is defective air conditioner and has to be replaced.
I wonder if Escape trailers checks the units before they're shipped out?

Just for information of others can you be more specific about the nature of the defect / failure? There's lots of components which might cause the unit to not operate in some fashion, the technician's diagnosis should be somewhat more specific than 'it's a defective air conditioner'.

The unit seems to run slow, fast automatic all the settings it just does not ever produce cold air.
They say tomorrow they have to go through a performance checklist to send off to aircel so it can be replaced.

Why wonder? Of course they do a basic operation test for all the items they install.
But RV AC is notoriously unreliable. My Dometic Penguin II had been used maybe 8 or 10 times (and had sat unused) for about a year before we discovered all the refrigerant had leaked out and it would no longer cool. The "fix" was to replace the upper unit. I'm not saying that's what happened to your unit, but a refrigerant leak is one possibility.
To help the unit last, it's a good idea to run your AC for a period of time every couple of months or so, even if its not needed.

So at this point no idea if there's an issue with the compressor / refrigerant system or the control system not even telling the compressor to cycle ....
.... if that's the case there's the possibility that an electronic defect in a controller component could have failed; that sort of thing happens and often doesn't manifest until after some period of operation / 'burn-in' (it may not manifest during a brief post-installation test cycle).
Personally I'd be hesitant to even raise a question about ETI's check / test practices at this juncture.

If your RV dealer can not be more specific about the component that failed, it's time to go somewhere else. It sounds like they are trying to sell you a complete unit when one item may have failed. It's unlikely the Freon (or what ever gas) has leaked out. It has a simple switch has seized.
A forward thought. you should run your AC every few months if possible to keep all the seals lubricated so they don't dry out.

They did a performance test on it, and found a "broken line", I assume it's for the freon.
The company expects the air conditioner will be totally replaced.

Hey finally after almost 2 months they got the new air conditioner into the RV repair place and they would be replacing it on the 26th.

They replace the air conditioner with Aussie broken freon line, and it seems to work after I turn the heater on in the trailer and warmed it up enough to use it.
They would not let me harvest the condenser or anything off of it.

EDIT - just saw your other post, I take it that the broken freon line was diagnosed as a factory assembly matter (stuff happens, that's why good warranty support is good)?
In any case, glad you're up-and-running

I have the Coleman, hopefully it can last until their version of a 12 volt is ready. A tech from there told me they are working on it but are having problems bringing the cost down.
I like the placement of the AC near the center and I need the rear for bikes, so I’m crossing my fingers someone comes up with something to drop right into my existing AC location.
The last few years technology is moving fast, so maybe.
