When you use the "Build & Price" tool on the Escape website, you can see that the Composting Toilet can be selected either with or without the black tank and associated plumbing.

You can explore most of the available options and the price using the tool.

For example, here's the 21C tool.

Do you happen to know when Escape started doing that option of having or not having the black tank? Someone had told me that they always installed the black tank even with a composting toilet. I'm wondering if the choice to have one or not is a new idea. Thanks

Sometimes asking ETI factory either direct or via your sales person will give you the answer you are seeking....

I confess that I have been "obsessing" about Escape trailers for a few years. When the composting toilet first came out, I don't remember a separate option with or without the black tank. But that was in the days when there were "Easter Egg" modifications that weren't published but could be done as part of the build sheet finalization discussion with your ETI sales rep, and the black tank may have been part of that.

When the Easter Eggs, including separately identified floor plans, were rolled into the current comprehensive and visible options, that is when I believe the two composting toilet options appeared. As did the vent options when compressor fridges appeared.
