condensation problem

what we assumed was a very severe condensation problem while in rainy Vermont last month turned out to be clogged weep/drain holes in the window letting water drip inside. got home and blew an enormous amount of crud out of one bedroom and one front widow. will know how it does on the next rainy campout but feeling confident we got it fixed.

We only experienced this problem once and it was due to crud build up like you described and a driving sideways rain. After that I keep the slots clean and we installed the vinyl gutters above the windows and partway down the sides. No more problems. This is on the slider windows and the problem was on the 19. Never had a problem on the 21. Channels were clear and installed the gutters early on and finally have been lucky enough to stay out of an extended driving rain. I do not like the sound of hail though, no matter where I am unless it’s in a pavilion with a metal roof that I don’t own.

Have owned a number of slider window campers including a Scamp and Casita. I would clean those channels a couple of times a years.

Enjoy,

Perry

where do you need to clean exactly, and is it on all of the windows? I haven't had this problem yet, but don't want to!

Slider windows have drain slots whereas awning windows do not........
