cover for air conditioner
We have a 2015 21' and it will soon be baking in the sun. Would like to put a cover over air conditioner and Max Fan to protect them. Does anyone know the model number for these items. Thank you! Marilyn PS -- Have been on two short trips, so much fun, our huge dog is grateful to have room to sleep comfortably - Us too!!

Something like this should work for the Dometic A/C:

I have never seen a temporary cover for the Maxxfan, but this doesn't mean they might not exist.

The existing cover can be replaced for less than $50, if you ever need to.

Glenn, are you referring to the A/C shroud? I see these for around $100 USD on Amazon and Camping World.
Also I just happened to be on the phone with Airxcel the other day who makes the MaxxFan and a replacement smoke lid (part # 05-30520) is $67 USD+tax+shipping. Seems a bit ridiculous since less than 4 years ago a post indicated they were around $30 USD. I guess this has to do with changes since Dometic bought them. The standard white lids (part # 05-30510) are still pretty reasonable. I think he said around $20 USD. Some have been able to leverage warranty on cracked lids and get them for free but I never bank on that.

Got my estimate from Googling MaxxAir.

4 Bolts hold the Dometic A/C cover on. It is a thick plastic cover that I removed and painted with Krylon Fusion spray paint (the same time that I did the propane tank cover). I did mask-off the "Dometic" Dometic logo decal on each side. Now, when I Aero303 the trailer for U/V protection I hit the logos with the 303, but not the painted cover.

dfandrews, that was a different solution we would not have thought of. Will definitely read up on the products you mentioned for use on things that are not on the roof. Our son could slip the cover on for us, so will probably go that way. Thank you for your post. Marilyn
