Cracked bathroom sink

Our bathroom sink has developed a small crack, on the upper surface from the hot faucet over to the wall where the sink edge curves up. I'd post a pic but I have already covered it up with some white duct tape to reinforce that spot as an emergency repair, we are at the beginning of a two month trip.

Has anyone ever patched a crack in this sink? I assume it is some type of plastic. The crack is on the upper horizontal surface by the faucet and luckily, at least so far, doesn't go down into the bowl.

And in the event the crack worsens, which I suppose it eventually will, does anyone happen to have a link handy to a replacement? Centex, wish this had happened before your trailer was delivered, would have been easy to switch "delete sink" for "do not install sink"...timing is everything.

Some plastics are repairable some are not and I can't help because mine hasn't cracked.

But, I caution everyone, do NOT use the sink as a handhold to pull yourself on or off the toilet. It was NOT mounted for that purpose nor is the sink made for that purpose. I see a few people suggesting it. Mount a proper handhold if you need it.

When I have to pull myself up off the 'throne', I may well look for another means of recreation! )

Well, darn, but perhaps you can get the brand / PN info from ETI and find it on the US-side of the interweb at a reasonable delivered price. Methinks (hopes?) it's not a 'custom for ETI' item.

Hope that otherwise y'all are Having Fun, David!

The screw that holds the shower wand to the wall can easily be removed and replaced with a machine screw going through to inside the closet. This allows for any required safe rising throne assistance.

We just noticed the same problem. There is a crack in the sink next to the drain and one up near the hot valve handle. We have also noticed a couple of small cracks on the cold valve handle. We have certainly never used it for anything other than running water - no stress has been put on it. We may need to consider a replacement. The trailer is still in warranty but I an not sure if they would do anything about it.

Just because your sink has cracks doesn't mean that anyone should delete an extremely practical sink.

I think ETI uses the same sink in all models. I bought one for a mod I'm working on and it was around $40 from ETI.
