De winterizing problem

It happens that after de-winterizing My trailer, the sensor does not show when I have a fresh water tank full, I think I did everything like indicated using the proper antifreeze non toxic, after de-winterizing I filled My fresh water tank a couple of times to clear all residue, but shows empty when is full
Your help will be appreciated.

Thank You in advance.

G. Clatz.

As long as you don't have under spray on your fresh tank you should be able to see how full the tank is by looking at it. The tanks translucent material is somewhat see through. The grey tank I never worry about (I'll empty some out into a bucket and dispose) and the black tanks volume can be viewed from the open bowl. All that aside, it's still nice to have the sensors working.

I do have extra insulation in all tanks, I need to know my level since I often camp in remote areas,

Does the insulation cover the tank sensors?

No, is extra insulation applied by Reace before delivery of My trailer, after that was painted black colour at Escape. I had no problems before with My sensors.

I can see the monitor indicating a empty tank but I can't see the sensors and I don't know where are they located.
And I should have mentioned that since the beginning.

the sensors are the screws (with attached wires) on the sides of the black, gray, and fresh tanks. Look on the drivers side (port side) of the trailer.

Thanks for the Pic, impossible for Me to see the sensors they are all covered with the extra insulation for winter camping. However the problem remains the monitor still showing empty with a tank full of fresh water. Could it be that some residue from the antifreeze is doing this?

Do the other tanks show a reading when partially full?

This isn't much help, but I've never had my fresh water tank get close to empty. When you fill it, water shoots out when it's full so don't need the monitor for that.
I carry a five gallon container which gets filled just before the campground. It sits outside on the picnic table and gets refilled when necessary. That's where we use most of our water, for cooking and washing up dishes.
Erratic readings from the sensors seems to be an ongoing problem.
Maybe you could try opening the fresh water drain and fill the tank at the same time. Any bit of debris on a sensor can mess it up, but I would think would give an false "full" reading.

Are you sure the fresh tank is holding water?
How do you know it's full? Did you fill the fresh until water shot out the overflow ?

I camp in remote areas with no access to fresh water, and I relied on the system monitor to see how much water I have, this way I measure My stay by daily consumption, Also We use the water for personal hygiene.
We carry lots of Drinking water for cooking and drinking, this is of great help, but for the toilet and washing We use the fresh water tank.

Yes, I am sure it was full until overflow. It doesn't show full of half or one-third.

Hi:gclatz... I have noticed the screws that pierce the tank to show the monitor levels on our 5.0 have rusted. If you were to locate them by tracing the wires and change them to S/S and clean the wire ends it might help. Make sure you put some sealant on the screws to prevent leaks.
We have some erratic level indication too!!! Alf

The problem is tracing them when they are under the insulation.

I can't locate or follow the wires because they are all covered by extra insulation, the problem I am having is new, and it happened after de-winterizing My trailer the system monitor for the fresh water tank shows empty when it has a full tank of water, What I think it may happen is that some residue from the antifreeze remained inside and hardened, I tried with half cup of bleach for 2 1/2 hours and did not work.
