Dinette Bed area on 21 &propane quick connect question

Good Morning, We are talking about how the two of us are going to go from king size at home to double....not sure it will work and we will give it a shot...I am curious how you experienced folks set up the dinette bed for sleeping comfortably....comfortable is the operative word.

Also, we are buying this BBQ and we have been told we need a regulator and will want hose extension , anyone bought something that works well with this type of set up??

Robot Check

Finishing build sheet today.....due Feb 12th...very excited!!!!

Dinette Bed area on 21 &propane quick connect question

The hose comes with the propane quick connect option and I believe it's about 12'.

okay, thank you, get that part, I guess what I need is an adaptor/regulator to go to the BBQ.....ESCAPE folks say I need regulator and doesn't look like this BBQ has one...

Dinette Bed area on 21 &propane quick connect question

Just looked at the photos and it has one that's incorporated into the control valve. What you need is a separate control valve. If you take the hose and current valve/regulator into a propane store or maybe an RV store they should be able to fix you up.

You can get a separate control valve and convert that grill to work with the optional low-pressure propane outlet on the Escape... or you can just buy a high-pressure extension hose (like the one mentioned in the Amazon ad) and connect directly to one of the trailer's propane tanks.

This specific grill was discussed in another thread (another 'new' grill), but the practicality of converting it to low-pressure operation (so it could work with the optional outlet from Escape) was not considered in that discussion.

While I can't tell you what we've used since we don't have our trailer yet, I can tell ya that I did some looking around at Cabela's and Bass Pro Shop today. Passed on Camping World as they're close enough to zip down, the other two are a bit farther away.

Anyway, been trying to figure out what to use on the dinette. Saw a couple of rectangular sleeping bags from Coleman that might work. You can zip them together and they're not made for low temperatures, which I hope the trailer will never get down to. One was rated for 50* and priced at $34.99 and the other was a Tandem 3-in-1 for 45*, priced at $99.99. It looked like you could zip it into 2 or 3 separate bags if you want. Need to do some more research.

I figure a bag will save from hauling around a bunch of sheets and blankets since it's also going to be used as a lounge during the day. It can be rolled up into one of the cabinet shelf areas that's gonna be dedicated for that purpose.

Also saw a bunch of camping pads from Thermarest, which reminded me that I have several in the attic that were samples way back when the company was just starting out or some such. I just know I didn't buy 'em and the guy I knew from college had a huge pile of 'em in his garage and said I could keep 'em as they were samples or pro-types or some such. Anyway, I think those will work good for extra comfort when sleeping on the dinette.

If they're needed - Dirk can sleep on practically anything. I'm the Princess and the Pea type.

And congrats on getting your build sheet completed. Fun stuff, huh?
