Dometic 9500E Awning Troubleshooting

Hi there,
I have a 2017 17' Escape with the 9500E Dometic awning with remote. I haven't used it in quite a while. Today the awning did not respond to the remote... and the light on the remote blinked when a button is pressed. I changed the battery in the remote and same outcome. Any thoughts? Suggestions?
Thanks!

On my 21, there is an on/off toggle switch that turns power on/off to the awning.
Is the switch in the “on” position?

Knowing what model you have might help with troubleshooting. Apparently early models were 201 and later models are 231. They have a different remote. Maybe Reace’s awning video where he talks about resetting the motor (starting at 0:50) would help? (I don’t have an electric awning- just trying to help)

I had to do a quick setup function to get my wind sensor to signal the motor. For some reason shaking the sensor did nothing after a year or so. It is described in the manual and easy to do.

Maybe you need to get to the motion detector unit inside the awning case and change out those batteries, too? Our held remote takes, one CR2430 Li-MnO2 battery and our vibration sensor located inside the awning case takes two AAA disposable batteries. Not sure if they need to talk to each to work? Good luck!-Bea
