Dometic Penquin ll air filter
I am having difficulty finding where to purchase an air filter for the A/C return air. Dometic recommends cleaning it every 2 weeks but doesn't say where to get one.
Air Filter
1. Periodically (a minimum of every 2 weeks of operation) remove the return air filter located behind the return air vent grille and wash it with soap and warm water, let dry and then reinstall.
NEVER run unit without return air filter in place. This will plug the unit evaporator coil with dirt and may substantially degrade the performance of the unit over time.
I checked my return air and it doesn't have a filter now. Anyone know where to purchase a filter?
ps. I don't have the manual to the A/C and Dometic is HORRIBLE for supplying manuals - most manufacturers put them on their website. I couldn't find any on Dometic's.

If it's missing on a brand new trailer, that would be a warranty call to ETI for part shipment if it was supposed to have one.

That's the part I don't know. Does your A/C have a filter behind the return air panel?

I'll have to take a look when I hit storage lot, maybe tomorrow. Someone may beat me to that answer.

Does this help at all? It's in the files: Escape Trailer Owners Community - Downloads - Dometic Roof Top AIr Conditioner Model 6003 Series

I don't have a manual for mine either. I need to look and make sure it has a filter.

Ours has a white filter snapped on the back of the return grill like shown in tdf's picture above.

I tried to upload it to the files section but it says I don't have permission. Would you upload it into the files section so everyone that doesn't have a manual for the new trailers could access it?

Thank you! So the trailers with the new Penquin ll do come with a filter - I just don't have one. Is there a part number on the filter?
ps. it might be a good idea for anyone with a new trailer to go check if their filter is on place. Without a filter, the A/C evaporator coil will clog - major headache to get clean. If you have a filter, might as well clean it while you there. It's not obvious that a filter is behind the grill.

Done. Give it a few so the server knows it there.

No part number that I see. It's a very cheap looking filter a don't look like it will filter much but it's something.

Maybe one could make the filters out of some cut to fit carbon filter material like this: https://www.amazon.com/Filter-Tree-C...=carbon+filter
It might need to be thinner than that one, I can't find what its thickness is. It would probably be a more effective filter too if it could be made to fit securely.

It snaps in the back of the return grill so you would need to be careful it does not get sucked up into the unit.

Does it look like this? I found it on a Airstream parts site but Airstream assigns their own part numbers to their stuff with no cross reference so I don't know if it fits ours.
AIR FILTER LH OR RH FOR 690323-47 A/C NON DUCTED FOR AIRSTREAM SPORT NOT HEAT PUMP

I have my numbers handy as I'm about to purchase the additional 3 year contract paperwork on my desk.
