The mounting plate that comes with the kit will line up perfectly with the original screw holes. You can see it in this photo.

That is what I thought . I have been looking at a stainless round disc to cover hole and attach to trailer . Right now I bought a grey plate used for electrical to mount my inlet on . The hole is pretty big . Did they send you the backing plate ? I have the Smart plug in stainless for inlet like the door hinges it is a beauty . Ok Thanks for the help . Pat

Don't want to sidetrack this thread but yeah, the "kit" (FCKIT30-PS) comes with the plate. The Furrion receptacle bought separately does not. The plate is white powder coated steel.

Sorry about that Robert . Everything off and cleaned up . See If Linda approves for now , the grey plate . I will add some wood to backside to screw into . The part I am happy about is the fiberglass in the hole is 1/8 in all around . Yay ! Pictures tomorrow . Back to the thread , I would make rubber gasket to install at back of your plates on your hinges . It will help keep hinge from moving down on trailer body . I also found the previous hinges cut into the gel gloss when they were screwed down and I dealt with dropping and enlarged screw holes . I made my rubber gasket out of used thin bike tire I cut up . Thankyou , Robert . Pat

Hi Fox hunt yes just order 2 hinges . You can reuse your screws . I would undo and screw. on by hand . Replace one hinge at a time , leaving door closed . I put something in space on latch side to help it from drooping when I removed latches . Don't mix screws up they are 2 different sizes . One for door and one for body . I would add a little sealant the the holes of screws when you reapply . Pat

Tony, I use tome Proflex to seal the holes and then I reused the screws which look to be stainless!

Pat, I personally would not use these in the left hand position. That is one of the problems with the stock ones .... they are left hand hinges and when they wore out the pin dropped out the bottom.

I think because the pin is different in these hinges , it is rolled on the bottom instead of how the originals are , I believe the pin can't drop out .Good you didn't have any damage from the pin dropping out . So glad we have a better hinge . Pat
