Dual propane tank question

We are wondering ...with our dual propane tank set up from Escape, can you use one tank while the other is removed?

Yes. You turn the lever to point at the full tank. Then remove the empty tank.

As Glenn said. We used to take a tank off and use it to run our propane campfire till we got a separate tank. Worked fine. Also if you’re staying somewhere for several days and run out of a tank and don’t want to or can’t switch to Electric water Heater, or shut the furnace off, you can run on one tank and go get the other one filled without a problem. If it’s a situation where a fill station or exchange exists. Personally I only fill at fill stations and keep the original Escape Tanks.

Thanks, that makes sense. That’s what we want to do - run our campfire off of it without carrying an extra tank in the car.

Just check that when you disconnect one tank the disconnected fitting isn't leaking propane. That is the way my first regulator failed in in 17. Made it a impossible to take a tank to get it filled while leaving the refrigerator running on the remaining tank.
