The sensor that is attached to the Dometic electric awning is beeping every few seconds. I pulled the cover expecting to see batteries, but only saw what appears to be a button battery but was not sure.
So I'm pretty sure the issue is a battery that is going out, but not sure what the replacement procedure is. Has anyone replaced the batter on this sensor and do you have any tips?
As I recall, there's a little while plastic box inside the leading edge of the awning, centered. It contains two AA batteries and I do believe that beeps when low.
The sensor is removed from the awning by sliding the sensor left (or is it right?) in which the sensor is removed from its mounting plate. The batteries are accessed on the backside of the sensor.
