Question Escape 110v to house power - will this $20 one off Amazon work?

Hi all

just back from a nice camping trip

when we were leaving I tucked away somewhere the adaptor from the extension cord I use to power fridge / etc while it is in driveway

that goes twist lock into the Escape

I guess I'll buy one, then have a spare once the other one eventually surfaces.

will this work?

https://www.amazon.com/Female-Adapte.../dp/B01MTQ4B4A

thanks!

john

I think the cable you selected will work, however this is much cheaper: http://a.co/2cOnrJm. Just attach it to the end of the 30 amp cable from your trailer and add as much 15 amp extension wire as needed to get to your home outlet.

John,

This is what I use. The adapter can plug into a house outlet or at the end of a heavy duty extension cord, with the end of the power cable plugged into the adapter.

John: The L5-30R twistlock to 15A (NEMA 5-15P) dogbone adapter you provide a link to works great with the detachable power cord option. We have the same one. You bring your extension cord right to it and it eliminates having your large cord outdoors. The other adapters used at the end of the cord are better if you have the onboard cord system where you are forced to adapt from the TT-30R end to the 15A.

thanks everyone for the great info.

i realized i prefer to keep my full size power cord tucked away in the front box

and use the $20 adaptor out in the CA sun....

I have two cords and adapters one I leave at home all the time to plug my trailer in and one for on the road to use so I don't forget it at home.

I have one of those shown at Amazon, been using it for 7 years now at home with an extension cord. I put some butyl tape around the connection between it and the extension cord. When traveling, I take it with me and use at cg when not needing my a/c. If a/c is needed I use the factory 30 amp removable cord. This saves wear and tear on the larger removable cord and is much easier to stow when cold. Also when staying at "tent" sites there is only a 15 amp service so it is nice to have both choices.
