Exterior hatch opening size

Hi all,
I’m wondering if anyone know offhand the opening dimensions of the exterior storage hatches on an E21. Did a forum search but didn’t turn up anyrhing, and if I go out and loosen up the cover on mine enough to measure, I am going to get a load of snow down my neck!

Which ones? the stock one or the optional ones?

Yes, I do and I don't even have to measure....the opening is always 1/2" too small to fit the object I am trying to put in! OK, joking aside, I make the clear opening to be 7 1/2".

Well, the stock one to access under the bed. I think the othErs are the same size but couldn’t swear to it.

Okay, here are some numbers, in inches, the stock E21 hatch on the drivers side is 22.5x8.5
and the optional hatch in rear, either side is 16.5x7.5 both are opening size.
