False propane alarm?

Got home yesterday after a 4 night trip. The propane dectector has been going off. Can’t smell anything. New 5.0 TA (2019).
Only thing we’ve been running on propane is the refrigerator.
Advice? (DH has already shut it off)

Try vacuuming it, sometimes a piece of dirt will set off false alarms.....

Check the born on date of the propane detector. Were you plugged into shore power? If so, a common issue is off gassing from the batteries. Pets have been known to set off alarms, do you have a larger dog or several pets? Vacuuming out the detector and wiping with a damp cloth. I finally resorted to a kill switch for when it goes off at night.

Also... When wind is blowing against our water heater’s exterior side door, sometimes our propane detector goes off. When that’s the case, I just turn off the water heater and all is fine.

Alarm?

The alarm in our 2018 Casita did that so often, even w the tanks OFF... that I finally went nearly nuts..vacuuming the thing etc etc,,,finally had to pull the dang fuse. That finally worked.

I have found that switching off the battery cut-off switch prevents the converter from sending excess charging current to the battery. This tends to reduce off-gassing and greatly reduces or eliminates false alarms in my experience. Just have to remember to turn it on before towing so the trailer brakes will function in the event of a break-away.

After days of A.C. time the Oregon temps finally cooled off and I turned on the furnace at 3am this morning. Immediate alarming from the propane detector. We were plugged in as only yesterday we needed cooling. No problem I'll turn off the DC power switch to shut off the DC circuit to the alarm, nothing happened. Turned off the furnace and read about cleaning the face plate with a damp cloth and vacuuming. So did that. Ours is the Attwood DB 10130 black detector. Nope, not made anymore. As it got light I disconnected the AC power cord and now the DC power switch works as it should. Turned on the furnace again and the propane alarm is no longer alarming. Wonder what propane detector will fit in that cutout? The date on the back of our detector is 2018, same as our trailer. It is said to last 5-7 years. Whatever we buy will not be Attwood which is now Dometic.
