Rack Jobs

When ever possible when needing to stay in a c.g. we cruise the loops to see if we spot generators. Hondas are one thing, yet if the only space has a neighbor with a rack generator we are outta there. In May we camped at a nice c.g. outside of Cottage Grove, OR and the nice couple at the front kiosk asked us to drive through to see if we saw a spot we liked. Also told us they had a lot of complaints about a camper who was running his generator all day. We found a place far enough upwind that we were ok. Later I went over to talk and sure enough my guess was right- had to run it for the fridge. His RV fridge died and he bought a Kenmore or whatever that needed 12OV and he didn't want to pay for hookups. Unfortunately another of the "Mobile Homeless" that are on the rise.

If we ever meet (which is possible as we both live in CA) I will tell you the generator story about our "neighbors" in a Happy Camp, CA campground. One of my bolder moves.

BJ, We'd love to hear that story as well. (Does it involve wire cutters and/or direct shorts?).
