Floors creaking

Our 21 has a floor that creaks in one area. Not a big deal but it drives me crazy. I was going to tighten the screws up that hole the floor to the frame but our 21 is insulated.

My question is does anyone know where to find the spacing on the frame members? I can't see any of them so I don't want to just start cutting insulation out. It would be helpful to know where to start. If it helps the only place this happens is just inside the door about 2 feet.

This is a Very common ailment. Check out this Squeaky Creaky Floor thread. I haven't tried it, but will one of these days.

I found gaps under the cabinets that I could slide a sheet of stiff, close to cardboard, piece of paper under. If I had room to slide it around I applied talcum powder on top of the paper, liberal amounts, and then spread that around the area. Probably not as effective in damp areas. Seemed to work well at quieting the area but I have an area at the foot of the bed that needs a reapplication after several years.
