Freeze damage

Sooo, I live in Florida but am a tugboat captain in NY. Gambled and lost about winterizing my new 5.0 before I left town for a month.. No heat on inside the trailer. Grey water tank and fresh water tank were both empty. It got down to about 28 degrees for maybe r5 hrs last night.. I won't be able to attend to the trailer until Jan 4 when. I get back from work.. Not sure What kind of freeze damage I may be walking into. Where should I look for damage first? Water heater? Water Pump or u just look for leaks in plumbing circuit?

No promises, but I think you're fine at 5 hours below freezing. It's hours and days of below freezing that's really bad. Although the toilet supply valve may be the weak link and you should make sure it's good before taking off camping, otherwise you'll fill your black water tank quickly!

Good luck!

My best guess is you are okay, but the water pump and toilet valves would be the first suspects to me.

Believe me, you have nothing to be concerned about.

Having camped out many a night at temps down to -5°C or so I have never had an issue if it warms up above freezing during the day. I would lose out on a lot of fun camping if I never went out in those temps, and would find it a real hassle if winterized.

You’ll be fine. If you want to check just simply pressurize the system with your pump and check around for any leaks. If your system holds pressure and the pump doesn’t cycle back on you don’t have any leaks.

Ill tend to it when I get back home. Taking it to the Florida Egg rally at Suwannee RV and music park in mid January.

My Escape 21 was parked for weeks in the winter at a Camping World, waiting for a part for my old Dometic fridge. It got down to 14 degrees F. in an unusual cold spell while it was there. I dreaded what I would find when I finally got it home, but the only plumbing issue I found was a bad seal in the kitchen faucet. I replaced the faucet with a better one.
