Fridge won't run on AC

Our 2018 5.0 TA with the Dometic fridge was in storage for a few months. The fridge was working fine on AC yesterday. This morning it was switched to propane. Now it will run on propane or DC, but not on AC. Husband checked fuse and breaker, they were fine. We are leaving tomorrow for a 2+ week trip from Arizona to the Oregon coast before heading back to MN. Any thoughts or suggestions about what's going on and how to fix it? Thanks.

You can't.

And, you have to tell us how the problem was solved.

Actually, the post could have been deleted looking at the timeline. For a period of time your post can be edited. You will see the word “edit” under your post. There is an option to delete. You click on that and scroll down just a bit and confirm that you want to delete. Your second post was well within the editing timeframe. When the “edit” time period expires, only a moderator can make changes or delete a post.

And no, there is not a requirement that you follow-up with an explanation as to how the problem was resolved. While many may wish to know, as The Rolling Stones sang “You don’t always get what you want….”

How do you know it is not running on shore power?

Of course, this forum is intended as a resource, where owners help owners. It's not really intended to be one-way, like a self-help book.

Make sure there is power to the refrigerator plug and that the refrigerator is plugged in.

If the outlet is a GFI (sorry I forget to check), but, I think it is. Test and reset the GFI.

Perhaps that is your vision for the forum. If someone did something embarrassing like pushing the wrong button on the refrigerator, do you expect them to tell everyone “I was stupid?” Would you? Just because someone does not give the details of how they addressed a problem doesn’t mean they are being “one way” or selfish. Judging by the time between the OP’s first post and second post (less that an hour), I would suspect there wasn’t a problem or a fix involved, just a simple procedural mistake. So if you believe everyone should own up to doing something “dumb,” I guess we can count on you “airing your dirty laundry” next time you do, correct?

Oh heck, I do lots of stupid stuff. That's how I learn sometimes. I would say what I had done to fix the problem, even if it's something most people already know. There's a reason for Lessons Learned. Most of us hope to learn those lessons from others before we make our own mistakes or have a D'oh moment.

While there certainly isn't a requirement to post the solution, it's a nice thing to do. One of the very best features of the EscapeForum is the archives and knowledge certainly adds to that.

Honestly Donna, me too. And it doesn’t bother me to admit it. Like the morning I wasn’t paying attention and poured the water meant for the drip coffee maker into the electric burr coffee grinder. Yup, stupid. But I have to respect the wishes of those who do not want to admit to making dumb mistakes.

Does it not work when you manually choose ac ?
Did you try another appliance plugged into the refrigerator outlet to verify power there ?
Just a few thoughts not a criticism.

Perhaps it’s the switching circuitry on the fridge itself?

We had the same issue (Nov 2019 5.0) but noticed that although the fridge said "Auto Gas", with the trailer plugged into AC and the propane turned off, the fridge still got cold. So, the upper circuit board (where the controls and status lights are) had to be replaced, along with the lower circuit board (in the back of the fridge) because they work together.
