Frig Door ajar alarm

Domestic 4.3 frig alarm is going off every two minutes for 15 seconds. Instruction
Manual points to a problem with the door contact or the interior frig. light. Has anyone had a similar experience and if so a recommendation for a possible fix?

Thanks

Frig Door ajar alarm

Had the identical issue on our maiden voyage. First, make sure the door is completely closed. It is indeed an alarm that's telling you the door sensor doesn't think is closed.

If that doesn't work, try unplugging the fridge light. The sensor may be defective, and by unplugging the fridge light you fool the sensor into thinking the door is closed. It will silence the door alarm, but you'll need to get the light assembly/sensor replaced - that is, if you want a fridge light.

Disconnecting the light did the job.

Many thanks

I didn't know there was such an alarm-thought that ringing was just in my head.

My two door 6.7 sounds like a truck back up alarm, which confounded me for a few as I was in a truck area at the time.

Yeah, its quite loud and irritating. Went and picked up bags of ice and had transferred all the food to coolers so we could shut the dang thing off. Reace then suggested pulling the light plug. Ah....silence was golden.
