Yes, if it is the same as a 15. I bought the new seal from Escape. I took the option of buying a heavy duty seal for the bottom edge where you are apt to step on it. Removal and replacement was straightforward.

Escape will not sell us a needed front door seal for our 19. Lippert Industries supplies the door and seal as a unit. It is not covered by warranty. We have to contact Lippert Industries ourselves, Escape sent us a photo of the door "serial number", but I think it is the current door not our '18 friction door.

What do you mean by "front door"?
Can you post a picture of the issue with your seal so others can better understand the problem?

It helps to know if you're asking about the 1st gen or 2nd gen door...

If you look at our reply, our trailer is an '18. 2nd Gen. Yes, there is only 1 door, isn't this getting rather pedantic?

It looks like you damaged it, from the outside and inside? Was there an incident? This does not help you but may help others.
The rubber gasket can be purchased at Home Depot or Lowes, I replaced mine on my first E19. I cut a section and replaced the bottom half, self stick. Take a piece with you....

Nope, never damaged the rubber. It had a factory installed bulge from the day we picked it up. The bulge never really grew, it just finally shredded to fit the tight door. You can see the black rubber mark on the outside of the door, that is where the bulge folded over to fit, when we picked up the trailer in Chilliwack Oct 1, 2018. Again, Escape says this is not warranty, they saw the bulge last year when we were in the shop for a continuing cabinet door hinge. We are headed to Chilliwack, again, for that same hinge.

It would appear they could cut and paste a piece, what, maybe 6" long there? That seal is mainly for air and once shut it squashes almost flat, it is hollow...

Agreed, it still seals even in the shredded state. We had hoped to get Escape to repair it in May, but it is Lippert Industrie's problem not Escape's. When we get back to the states from Mexico i'll contact Lippert and buy a new seal.

I, and I assume the others, were responding to the OP. See post #1.

It stands to reason that the OP is referring to the main door seal (assuming on the trailer side). Based on previous posts mrkdk has a 2011 19. This is a good reminder to have your current trailer model and year in your profile. This is the classic style airplane door. Just like Viajante we were able to buy a heavy duty seal that goes along the bottom. This was a message from Tammy back in June 2017:
"We now use two different door seals. One is more robust and used on the bottom ($3.67/ft) the other is similar to the one currently installed ($3.16/ft). Please note I will require measurements however, I do believe you are about 3’ for the bottom and 15’ for the remainder of the door. Please confirm. Please note pricing does not include shipping."
When I pressed Tammy for some installation tips she said this:
"We just use a clear proflex to glue the bottom door seal in place and then just a black silicone to glue the ends down."

I love this forum. There is good humor to pick me up and help on the problems.
I see it as the front door. But if I am facing away it would be the back door..........
I did not see that note that was from 2017 that would have helped a bit before ordering. While waiting i called Escape and they have the seal to send me 5$ a foot for the jamb side and 1.75$ a foot for the door side (front door). It was good information about the adhesive I need to read again.
Once I get it installed I will update on my experience.
Regards paul
