Front Storage box ~ weather stripping

Wondering if anyone has used any type of weather stripping inside the top of the front storage box to keep rain and weather out. Or is it not necessary as it is weather-proof enough as it is. Have not traveled in the rain yet.

We drove for almost a week in the rain last spring and it never leaked.

Our 19' box had water in it that seemed to come from snow melt somehow. There were no holes in the bottom. Our 21' has holes to let out water.

Ours did leak in some pretty wicked rainstorms driving down the freeway, but had Reace put holes in the bottom, so any rain can drain out.
We only store the outdoor mats, chocks, sewage stuff etc out there anyway.

Ours has not leaked yet but everything I store in the front box probably needs the dirt washed off it anyway
