I have a 21' with the thermostat that controlls both the AC and Furnace. I have used it twice. The first time I had no problems. The second time I used it the overhead AC fan came on when I turned the furnace on. The furnace came on also and blew out warm air. I don't remember the AC being on the first time I used the funace. The air from the AC was just the fan I think but I don't think it should be on at all. Can anyone give me any information on this.
The only time the a/c fan should come on is if you touched the a/c button, perhaps you did when scrolling down to the heat button which only controls the furnace, unless you got a heat strip added to your a/c? did you do that, other wise they are independent.
Try again, like you said it was okay the first time.

Hi: floorpanel... What settings were shown on the display of the thermostat? I believe you need to be in the "AUX" mode so the A/C doesn't run along with the furnace. Sorry I don't have the digi thermostat so I can't be certain of the mode. Alf

The thermostat has three modes. Fan, AC, and furnace from top to bottom. It comes on at the top and you scroll it down to what you want so you have to scroll past the fan and AC mode to get to furnace.
