Fuse Help, 17B Inverter

Can someone provide me a link for replacing the 200 amp inline fuse located at the positive battery terminal and leading to my GoPower 1500 Watt inverter?
Thanks

Look at blue seas website for a covered fuse holder and do it right with a short copper bus bar.
Look at TDF Texas install for a guide.

That same fuse failed on me not too long ago, I was able to find a replacement at a local auto parts store. See my thread about it here

Here's a source for the fuse.

https://www.amazon.com/Blue-Sea-Syst...1135856&sr=8-3

That type of fuse really needs a fuse holder to be reliable.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Here's a thread on how to mount it.

Indeed, this Forum is the best place to learn about our trailers and find solutions to issues we all face one day or another. Thanks you to all the participants and their technical knowledge.

I will go along with Tom (tdf-Texas) on the need for a fuse holder. I had 2 fuse elements break due to movement when connected directly to the battery. A separate fuse holder solved the problem.

GoPower recommends a class "T" fuse, a high current interrupting, fast acting and expensive fuse (and not the one Escape uses). For emergency use, a slower, but much less expensive & sometimes in stock equivalent of the Escape fuse is available from NAPA.

When I did my lithium battery upgrade which included a 2000W inverter/charger I used a 250A Class T fuse. AM Solar also sells them in 200A if anyone is looking to upgrade their stock fusing on a 1500W GoPower inverter.

If anyone prefers the Marine Rated Battery Fuse (MRBF) style - perhaps because there are terminal-mounted fuse blocks for them (if you have the height for that) as well as multi-circuit fuse blocks - they're rated for thousands of amps of circuit interruption, too. I don't know about the response time, but they are normally used (as the name suggests) as battery fuses.

Sometimes I embarrass myself by not doing due dilligence in the research for stuff I do. Please DO NOT use a Mega fuse for the inverter cable fuse as it does not have the current interrupt rating for that service. Here is a thread that explains better.

Basic rule of thumb: ANL /MRBF fuses are acceptable for for single lead acid batteries - Class T fuses are better and required for lithium batteries and paralleled lead acid battery banks.

Wow, such great information. Thank you
As I understand, an acceptable fuse replacement for by 1500 GoPower inverter off my 2-6 volt series lead acid battery bank is the MRBF with a 200 amp fuse.

I may have to replace the battery box to fit the height needed to install the fuse block. Unless I read differently, I’m ordering this setup.
Thank you all again.

The MRBF fuses are a great choice if you have non paralleled lead acid batteries and have the room to install them.

Just a suggestion. If you get the dual terminal MRBF, you can fuse both the inverter and the battery charge wire on the same terminal. A 200 amp and a 60 amp fuse should be all you need.
