It is very similar to the eZV3200P which is listed at 96 lbs.

We have everything setup for 12v lifestyle, solar and had never used the Genset for camping. Did a fringe week near our house in early May and needed to run the AC for a couple of hours in the afternoons. The WEN 2000 with grounding plug performed perfectly when called on, but we both decided that it was much more enjoyable for us to camp without a generator and not have to need to use AC or microwave when boondocking. If we need to camp in the future where AC is needed we’ll go somewhere with hookups.
At least we know the Gen performs well and will run the AC if we ever want it.

That's fine Greg, but isn't it always cold where you live?

I have actually never brought my genset with me either, though mine is a 300W Yamaha.

The manual states net weight as being 38 kgs which works out to be about 89 lbs.
I like to use non ethanol fuel in all my small engines and old vehicles because you never know what small part it might dissolve. The only way I can get that here is to by premium from Chevron...so that is what I use.
I like the video a lot. Keep in mind that a 3000 watt generator that will produce a 1/3 more power, is expected to be a little louder than a 2000 watt.
When I fire mine up, I switch on only one trailer battery to be charge by the trailers system and use a separate charger to top up the second battery at the same time.
I also wanted a generator that could run our house furnace and fridge in the winter in case we lost power.

My wife isn’t camping without AC. Period. Heck she indulges in my camping as it is.

i dry camped a week in 90-100F weather in july with the E21, didn't bring the generator, just used solar. in the heat of the day, I spent a fair bit of time in my 'shade cave' I made from the Escape's awning joined to a 10x10 popup, this worked great for me and my friends (astronomy club)

I stupidly didn't take any still photos this year (its an annual event, GSSP), but I did shoot this drone video which opens with a closeup of my setup...

Nice video, John! If you have never made it, you might try coming up to Tehachapi one of these years. The Antelope Valley Astronomy club puts on an annual event in July at Brite Lake. Elevation there is about 4,400 ft. and the skies are pretty dark.

DW and I made it in our local paper when we attended in 2017. She's in the red top and I have my hat on backwards:

Up until this post, the only other person I've ever heard mention Tehachapi was Linda Ronstadt in her song Willin'.

"I've been from Tucson to Tucumcari
Tehachapi to Tonapah
Driven every kind of rig that's ever been made
Driven the back roads
So I wouldn't get weighed
And if you give me weed, whites, and wine
And you show me a sign
I'll be willin'... to be movin' "

Good road song....

Agreed, love that song and always did like Linda!

Besides stargazing, we also do a lot of horsing around up here (or muling around, in this case). This was in our little community this past weekend:

Let’s at least acknowledge the two songwriters who penned this classic, Lowell George of Little Feat and Van Dyk Parks.

There was a couple of threads before discussing the Tehachapi Loop vs Horseshoe Curve vs Canadian Railway switchbacks. I enjoy anything about railroads....

If you happen to be close to Tehachapi, this weekend is the train show: 4/8/2018 - Tehachapi Loop Railroad Club Spring Model Train Show

Man, that video is great! Video stability amazingly smooth. I want one of those.

I've no idea what type of drone John flies Myron, but I highly recommend the DJI Phantom 4 Pro. 4K 60fps video, great stability, and 5 direction obstacle sensing. It's alot of fun.

That must be recently as they just completed building the Pilot within the last year. The big news is they just started construction of a SupaWalmart, so another resource for RVers. Expected completion date is summer of 2019.

Like it or not, our little town is growing up!

Ah, Little Feat! Used to listen to them in the 70's back when I was a sailor in San Diego. Didn't realize he was the writer.

I use the Honda 2000 on my 5 TA and my powerboat. Just the ticket in my opinion!
