Go Power Solar Controller Wacko for a While

After installing a new converter and Clipper battery monitor, my Go Power solar controller was reading 27 volts battery voltage. Called Go Power and they suggested holding down A and B button for 30 seconds to reset. No help. Second suggestion was to disconnect wires and let sit for 20 minutes. I took the positive terminal loose from the battery and disconnected one side of the solar panel and let it sit. Victory! Now my Clipper, plug in voltage monitor, and the Go Power all agree that it is 13 volts. I guess its rammies and rommies were confused.
