Yes we had been trimming down our roses (have about 25 different varieties in the yard) and for some reason, I guess, Josie found the cuttings to be sweet. Must be a rez-dog thing.

That's a tri-wing screw head. Not to be confused with a tri-point, which doesn't have the off-set blades.

Zoom.

https://zoom.us

My wife is the eldest of nine with siblings spread all over the US and Canada. One of her brothers set up a family video conference using the Zoom site.

It's a free web conferencing site. Simple to use on a phone, tablet or computer.

If you're interested in keeping in touch with far away friends or family you might take a look.

Plus your recommended social distancing will not to be violated.

Enjoy

Hi Ed
Hope you’re doing ok. Your post made me think of my daughter in Fort Wayne. They have a group of folks who enjoy sports and socializing. With the suspension of those activities, she sent me a picture yesterday where her TV screen was split into 6 frames and her friends were in 5 Frames and she was in the 6th. Don’t know how they rig that up but they were having a fine time playing some Kind of trivia game. Those young ones they come up with some stuff.

Splitting the screen into areas for each participant is what Zoom does.
We had some 30 people logged on at different times.
A big computer monitor or casting it onto the TV would have been better than on the iPad. Next time.

Talking Shopping in today’s environment

Made a quick stop at the grocery store this morning.
They said that a mask and gloves was all I would need.
They were wrong.
Everyone else had cloths on.

Keep smiling

I had an hour zoom conversation with my 6 yo granddaughter this morning, which enabled my dil to do her work. (she has always worked from home and now must deal with a 6 and 4 yo. The 6 yo has a daily zoom conversation with her teacher and classmates.

My older grands are doing an app called House Party with their friends, which i know nothing about.

Reading this thread reminds me of party lines "back when" - only better! Less gossip. Love the stories, photos, and conversations amongst those of you who've been friends for a while. Makes me smile … and smile. I so look forward to meeting you when this epidemic has finally run its course. Stay safe!

You mean the further you talked, the farther she went away? English is so confusing...

My grandma had a party line on a wall mount crank telephone. My dad did not like people listening in. So when he called my uncle on that phone he would unleash a string of profanity just in the greeting and most of the people would hang up. Then follow it with an outrageous rumor. Can’t say for sure but I think it’s in my DNA .

Myron, I love your roses....... our Canadian sense of hummer tends to run a bit dry and our daughter Melanie will have pulled this off perfectly. ( she would also have kept a distance )

Speaking about that old-time stuff from the last century (a good thing these days) my friend Phil, who shares humor that is dry but is a lot older than me, posted this on Facebook. He then wondered aloud if anyone knew what it was.

Of course, the answer is obvious: it's a pickle-seed remover.
